The Fever - Self Portrait - © Jaeda DeWalt
About this series:
From the ethers of my feverish delirium… I was sick for weeks with a virus that turned into a secondary upper-respiratory infection. I wasn’t able to do much but so desperately wanted to create something new. So i grabbed my camera, climbed into bed and photographed, My Feverish Delirium series. This is the first image in the series. After seeing how this SP turned out, i realized that agony and ecstasy look very similar, on camera.
About this image:
I rarely take color snapshots, or pictures where i am not done up in my make-up. So this series is a bit more natural and real than my other work and i hope it connects with you in a new way. Thank you :).

TODAY’S QUOTES - PASSION:
Our passions are the true pheonixes; when the old one is burnt out, a new one rises from its ashes. ~Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
* * * * * *
Our passions are the winds that propel our vessel. Our reason is the pilot that steers her. Without winds the vessel would not move and without a pilot she would be lost. ~Proverbs

ABOUT THIS IMAGE:
This image was inspired by the song, Echo And The Bunnymen – Lips Like Sugar. I lotioned my body up, glossed my mouth and then poured raw sugar on them. Though i realize, that the end result resembles rock salt, more than sugar ;).
I love the way light and shadow carve out the body’s contours, creating a tonal range that appears almost statuesque.
